This page is about how I have polished the aluminum on my bike.  I will try to get the instructions with pics posted tonight for the G.O.T.F Brothers that asked for them.

Well here goes everything I know about polishing aluminum.  First we'd better start with the tools you will need.

All of the tools you will need could be bought at you local hardware or sears store.
1. All of the tools you will need could be bought at you local hardware or sears store. There are other tools that you could use this is just what I use.
2. A vice.  ( mine is a $20.00 cheap 4" model) make sure that the vice has rubber inserts or you will chew up the aluminum when you clamp it down.  Or take an old innertube and make a rubber slip cover for your vice.  This will help not scratch the metal as bad.
3. A grinder.  ( again mine is a cheap one I think 29.00)  you will need to get a polishing wheel that fits the vice that you decide to buy.  The polishing wheel is a cloth wheel.

3.A drill.  I think most of us have one of these if you don't get one.

4. A Dremel or Craftsman multitool.  I have a variable speed Craftsman tool.  But it doesn't matter which one you get

5. A set of small metal files.  these com in really handy if you want to shape the aluminum or get rid of ridges and burs. (See Picture 4)
