Another GREAT Tech article by none other than KONG!!!
Here ya go . I've attatched a diagram of the tank I made. You'll have to do your own measureing to make sure it'll fit on your bike the way you want. You'll need brass hose fittings that will fit 1/2 in. I.D. hose, and the galvanized couplers.
Find the size that will let you screw the brass fittings into.
Cut the coupler in half so it's not too big, then drill holes in the tank in the appropriate places and weld them in. you can use the filler neck, and cap from a stock tank on it.
To mount it I just welded tabs on the frame where I wanted it, and used the straps that hold the extinguisher to the wall mount in your house. They hold fine, and makes for easy removal if needed.
Just make sure you use some kerosene to rinse it out good, leave some in it while you use a magnet to take all the shavings and debris out. The kerosene will help to move all of them to one spot, makes it alot easier to get them out. This diagram is the simplest one i have, I've made some with internal plumbing , but it's a lot harder to do. This one is easy. Hope this helps you out . Rick
