CHOPPERS GALLERY
Readers Rides, these bikes are from a varied group of individuals unlucky enough to have read my web page. But on a good note I'm lucky enough to have people with REALLY nice rides read my page!

U.S.S. Event Horizon
This bike is a perfect example of the imagination and ingenuity that people have, and what we are looking for at Slick's. Terry Mayfield Of Omaha, Nebraska decided he wanted to build a chopper, and believe it or not, this is his first attempt. It started life as a 1976 Honda CB550. Using just the engine cradle and titled neck, he designed the rigid frame. Using inspiration from the Martin Brothers, Terry stretched and molded an old mustang tank until it became what you see before you. The front forks are 10" over from a Honda 750, and the neck has 55 degrees of rake. The front wheel is from a Harley Sportster. All of the work except the airbrushing was done by Terry himself in a span of only six months!

He named the bike the U.S.S. Event Horizon. For those of you who don't know, an "event horizon" is the point of no return in a black hole in space. It is the point where you either stay out or get sucked in. It's a
perfect name for his creation, because anyone who sees it that is interested in bikes, will surely get sucked in by this creation. If you are browsing through our forum and see "lackpants" on the board, that's Terry. Be sure to give him a pat on the back for a job well done. Or Email him at mayfield1@cox.net

Some Words From Terry.......

"SLICK,
I HAVE TOURED YOUR SITE AND READ THE ARTICLES, AND HAVE TO SAY YOU
HAVE A GREAT ATTITUDE. THE WAY PEOPLE JUSTIFY THAT THEY ARE BETTER WITH A HARLEY OR A V-TWIN IS CRAP! YOU HAVE TO BE TRUE TO YOUR SELF AND YOUR BIKE WHEN SOMEONE ASKS " WHAT DO YOU RIDE?" I TELL THEM A CHOPPED HONDA AND I LOVE IT.!!!!"

Great Philosophy Terry,,,, AND GREAT BIKE!!

Thanks, SLICK.
