Well, I'm pretty excited. I sold off quite a bit of my honda chopper collection and purchased a car. a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain.
I have driven it home from Minneapolis Minnesota to Iowa Falls, IA. About 190 miles.
It ran great down the interstate, I need to work on the carb or a vacum leak, it doesn't always stay idling at a stop sign even when its warmed up. I can't say much about it except MY KIDS LOVE THE CAR,, my little guy is in love with it,,,, The comments below are from the ebay ad.

Have most of the chrome that goes on the car as well as other parts (see picture )
I just took my family to Car Craft Summer Nationalsfor the weekend in this car and it ran great with no problems . I have phurchased an older streetrod for next year and have to many cars
There is only a couple of things that I would do if I was going to keep I would put in a new radiator so it would run cooler on hot days and I would put in a new wiring harness (I was going to buy a 12 circuit new style block and rewire next winter ) The current rad and wiring work fine but are 56 years old and should be updated at some time . |
